The Problem:
Travel Manitoba is the official tourism organization for Manitoba and promotes Manitoba's natural beauty, cultural attractions, and outdoor experiences. In December 2024, the holidays were approaching and Travel Manitoba needed to create a seasonal holiday Instagram and TikTok reel highlighting local businesses in a French community named St. Boniface.
The Solution:
I first researched the area of St. Boniface to find local small businesses that could fit together in a holiday gift. The holidays is a hectic season, so I wanted to make sure this gift guide is easy and accessible to the audience. I picked stores that are all on one street for convenience. I made a list of stores that I would go to and my co-workers gave me ideas of stores to incorporate. I went and filmed in three different shops. I took environment shots and products shots. After I went back to the office and I edited it and posted it on Instagram and TikTok.
The Result:
The result of the Instagram video got 33.4K views, 418 likes, 5 comments, and 90 reshares. In the comments a user appreciated the convenience and pointed out how these stores are as they are all on one street.
